Long on my to-go-list, we finally did it and found it a magnificent experience. The modern interior is very stylish, cool and comfi, even though the chairs are less comfi. The staff was a bit anonymous and lacked the personal touch and attentiveness. But forget about the latter two issues: The food was perfect!!!! I/we really enjoyed the sophisticated combination of flavors and presentation in every single item we chose: naan and dips, liver mousse, beet salad, chili Sichuan basted bass, tadka crunch chicken, carrots, and Hamachi poke. Even the mocktail (sun rise spritz) was a wonderful starter. Definitely remains on the fav list.

Great brunch in a charming part of the arts district. Unique yet approachable dishes, everything has a slight tweak making it special! Parking - parked in a paid lot down the street as we weren't in the mood to hunt for street parking. Ambiance - what a beautiful exterior and indoors! tall ceilings with an industrial like feel (typical for this area) but had a charming feel to it. Service - all waiters for friendly and our food came out perfectly paced. Food - We shared the cinnamon roll and spiced pancakes which were SO good! We also got their french onion omelet and veggie omelet of the day that had really yummy cream cheese in it. Also got one of their non alcoholic spritzers. Would love to return and try their dinner menu!

This place is delicious! Large interior space that also feels cozy. Can seat 2-16 party sizes. The food was so good here. The French onion omelette, Short rib chilaquiles, and the apple pancakes are high recommendations. Only street parking available

The atmosphere in the outdoor dining room was adorable! Check out my photos, super cute set up. Nice heaters kept us warm and cozy. Service was exceptional! The server was attentive, informative, and personable yet not intrusive. The food was delicious! You absolutely have to try this place. My date and I have been trying to get a reservation here for over a year and a half as we frequent the downtown LA once every three months. I was so excited we were able to get in this time! Check out my photos where I rate each dish individually.

Finally got to try this spot out after my numerous visits to the Art District. I completely understand the hype. The food was delicious and very unique. The Goat Liver Mousse was tasty with a nice variety. The crumpets were all nice and warm, perfect with the liver mousse. Also, shout out to the Confit Goat Belly. Crispy, tender, and all so flavorful. The texture of the dish was on point. I only went for dinner, but I definitely want to come back for brunch.

Hosted a corporate event at Girl & The Goat and it was perfect. Amazing service, ambiance, cocktails and menu. The event managers we coordinated the event with were incredibly responsive, knowledgeable and executed the event flawlessly. We will be back. Thank you to the entire team at Gril & The Goat!!!!

Let's start with the physical property. It's in the arts district of LA, which is a rundown place, but there are a lot of really nice restaurants there. The outside and inside spaces are gorgeous. The service was very friendly. My only complaint about the service was that when they served us our cinnamon roll, they did not offer to bring a clean fork or a new plate. OK now onto the food. The crispy brussels sprouts and short rib Chilaquiles were absolutely outstanding. I really enjoyed the potato crepe but my wife wasn't a fan. It's okay, more for me. I ordered the bacon and it was nice but for three bucks a slice I think I wouldn't order it again. Also kinda it was served in a bowl, which was kind of weird. Now onto the gooey gooey Cinnabon. Honestly, if I owned the Cinnabon trademark, I'd be suing the restaurant. The cinnamon roll was nothing like Cinnabon other than the shape. It was a very large cinnamon roll that could easily feed 2 to 3 people, and it was swimming in cream cheese frosting. I don't think they understand what gooey means because the cinnamon sugar on the inside was somewhat sparse and the texture of the cinnamon roll was really bready. I am sure I would not order the cinnamon roll again. I however, will be dreaming of the brussels sprouts, short rib, Chilaquiles, and potato crêpe. We had one cocktail and one mocktail. My wife enjoyed the cocktail and I was ambivalent about the mocktail. I felt it was too ginger forward. It's a pricey brunch for two, clocking in at 180 for the food, BS service charge and tip. Bottom line, would I go back? Yes. I would.

I first heard of Girl and The Goat when I was living in Chicago. I'd been to that location many times, and was always impressed. When I heard that there was a Los Angeles location, I was ecstatic. I came here over the weekend, and the location is in a really cool neighborhood. Our reservation was at 5pm, and we arrived on time. There was already a line, which makes me think that we were in for an incredible time. Dishes are shared, and for 3 people our server recommended 5-8 dishes. Roasted beets: I don't know how people can make beets this good, but this dish was my favorite veggie dish. Grilled oysters: I recommend eating them on the cracker, which gives them a nice crunch. Crispy Brussels sprouts: I love Brussels sprouts, and I would absolutely order these again. Beef short rib noodles: The beef was so soft and melted in your mouth. Sticky glazed pork shank: The pork fell off the bone, it was so tender. It comes with naan and lettuce cups to make a wrap. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience and u will definitely come back.

I went here with some friends for brunch and I loved how the restaurant was decorated. Very open, spacious, and loved all the plants throughout the space. The servers were nice and attentive and food came out pretty quickly. I loved how almost every dish had some form of crunch, sweet, salty, acid, and heat. Spiced apple sourdough pancakes (4/5) I was very impressed with how light the pancakes were. Usually I'd be too full after eating pancakes but it sharing it with my grounds it was like a light dessert. I'm just not really a fall apple/cinnamon girl and I think substituting pear would have made it a little more interesting. My friends who have dined here before raved about the yuzu pancakes they had previously and I wish I got to try it! Crabby pork belly omelette (5/5) SO yummy. The omelette was cooked to perfection - soft, creamy, and light. The addition of the blackberries brightened and brought more dimension to the whole dish and the chili sauce was delicious. This dish was like a flavor firework in my mouth. Short rib chilaquiles (4/5) The whole dish was flavorful, however the short ribs were a tad too dry. The egg was delicious Potato crepe (3/5) This was good, but compared to the other dishes it needed like a sauce as it wasn't as flavorful as the other dishes. I think even simmering like fried scallions could have given it some more flavor but I did love the concept
